Kol Ami Food Pantry
Kol Ami Food Pantry
Many of our immigrant neighbors will lose income due to COVID-19 as day jobs and other work dry up. In Westchester, local groups working with immigrants, including Make the Road and El Centro Hispano, are in need of immediate food donations in order to provide for needy members of their communities. The need is already acute.
The Kol Ami Food Pantry is a partner with the Feeding Westchester Food Bank and has been serving the community for many years. The Kol Ami Pantry enables us to feed the hungry within our own community. If you are able to make a financial donation to the Food Pantry to help it purchase food for others, they welcome your assistance. If you have time to volunteer, they need people who can deliver food to the two local organizations, who will then take care of getting the food to needy families. Remember that it is a mitzvah to feed the hungry, especially in this time of crisis. As always, it is the poorest and most vulnerable among us who suffer most when disaster strikes.
