Love One Another
As we prepare for a long weekend in celebration of this country’s founding, we are reminded that there have been many bumps and bruises along the way. We are currently facing a moment where the multitude of things before us may appear overwhelming. We invite you to put all of it down for the next few days, reach out to loved ones let them know you care and remember to do something you enjoy. There is work to be done and there are battles with which to engage, but in order to do what needs doing we need to renew our inner selves.
Rabbi Danya Ruttenberg posted the following list after this week’s events.
- Get outside
- Get vitamin D
- See people who nourish you if you can
- Read, listen to, look at, make art
- Pray or meditate if you have such a practice - or maybe this is the time to begin one
- Go to sleep early if you can
- Do things that will not numb you out, but that will fill the well
Wishing you all strength and love as we prepare for what lies ahead,
always knowing that we are one community here for one another.
