Right now, we are witnessing the invasion of Ukraine by Russia -- an unprovoked act of war by a dictator bent on restoring a domain that collapsed 30 years ago. We watch from the sidelines in safety as President Biden and other NATO leaders struggle to find ways to influence the situation without declaring war.  We cannot stop the invasion and we cannot prevent the suffering of the Ukrainian people. But we can make sure that we are NOT indifferent by bearing witness.

Here are some resources:

  • Veronika Melkozerova, the executive editor of the New Voice of Ukraine, wrote a first-hand account of events in Kyiv published today. Click HERE to read the article.
  • Global Citizen put together a list of ways to help that include links to trustworthy news sources as well as links to donate to organizations working on the ground. Click HERE to view the list.
  • Euronews is a good channel to watch for news on what is going on in Ukraine (and the world). Euronews is based in France and covers world news from a pan-European perspective. Click HERE to access it online for free.

"Fear not your enemies for they can only kill you. Fear not your friends for they can only betray you. Fear only the indifferent who permit the killers and betrayers to walk safely on earth."      Edward Yashinksky

By staying informed, we fight indifference.
